Left for lunch and saw this at work. Southparkcopnice.jpg
EDIT: FINE PONY CARS. Though some people want to discount the Mustang because it’s a 4 cyl, even though it literally has a pony on the front. Also it’s nearly as fast as the Camaro was stock. Also I don’t give a shit, cool cars are cool cars. Except that Hyundai or whatever in the background.

If the SS is a hardtop/T56, then I’ll be taking that one.
We have Mustang row at work...its funny when one of the Vette guys interrupts them.

Hi yes, I’m here before the “4 cylinder Mustang=/=muscle car” skirmish.
But I’m also here to say they’re not “muscle cars”, they’re PONY CARS! :p

I see one muscle car and two pony cars.

Accurate, but outside of the Challenger, are there any other current muscle cars?

I still call them muscle cars.

I just call them RWDNorthAmericanCoupes.

I’d say so.
And if you don’t limit it to just the Americans, you get a plethora of choices, although you can’t have some in NA.
I’d say the muscle car is very much alive, just from different people.

Well, technically speaking none of those count either.
![]() 03/05/2016 at 14:25 |

How so? They’re all normal-ish sedans with big V8s.

I feel like not calling them muscle cars is just being pedantic. If you asked a random person on the street to name a muscle car 9 times out of 10 they’re going to say Mustang or Camaro, if anything.

Sedans aren’t muscle cars.

Well you’re not wrong.
![]() 03/05/2016 at 14:37 |

How so?
These are all technically sedans, just with 2 doors. And they’re all very much muscle cars.

That Nova isn’t factory, neither is the Falcon (that Falcon is a hardtop coupe anyways). The Hurst SC/Ramblers were only available as hard top coupes.

Cannot have 4 doors.
The coupe/sedan thing is kind of fuzzy. Go by door count.

I just like that 2/3 of those all-American cars are Canadian (including one made by Francophiles).

How in the hell did I find this... it’s over a year old. It’s a t-top (the only way to have a Camaro) w/ T56.
